May & June Book Haul
July 9, 2013 § 2 Comments
For those who don’t know, I’ve been on a bit of a money-saving kick lately. Unfortunately that means I can’t spend as much on books as I’d like to. But I had some book-ish success today! I saw my local library had the July book for the TPS book club on shelf, and only one copy, so I went after work to go snatch it up. I nearly walked out with five books, but limited myself to two. I also updated my online account…which has not been updated since I was eight and first got my card! So it should be easier to not have overdue books from now on (although my library doesn’t have late fees, I always felt a bit awkward about how often I kept things past their due date). This also means I can put things (aka Mockingjay and A Clash of Kings) on hold!
The two books I got today will go in the July Bool Haul post, as well the box of books I got from my internship today O_o (I’ll really try to stick with one month at a time from now on!)
On to the good stuff!

I caved and downloaded Kindle for my Mac. But since I know I’ll be tempted to download any and all free e-books but I really dislike reading on my computer, I’m setting a few rules.
1.) I can only download five e-books in a given month.
2.) It has to be a book I already wanted to read, or an author/publisher must contact me asking me to download and review the book.
On the internship front, I’m going to do my best to read and return as many of those books as possible by the end of my time there, or give them away as gifts. In addition to the box today, I have another box coming; these are books that were ordered for me based off of my expressed interests in marketing, culture, and globalization. THIS IS GETTING RIDICULOUS.
